PAY DEAL UPDATE: ISSUES WITH YOUR PAY RISE?

An important communication from the branch secretary.

 

Dear Branch Members, branch has been contacted by a number of you expressing concern that your pay rise was not as big as you had expected. A number of you have expressed concerns about the figures you received through the UNISON pay calculator are larger than the figures you have received in your pay rise.

 

I am sorry for this feedback. I am only now being made aware of this information. As you may suspect I have had a number of members contact me about this. Please understand the pay deal information, including the UNISON pay calculator, was provided by national UNISON for branches to share. As a branch we were not responsible for the content. Therefore I am seeking a communication from Region or above providing clarification and explanation for us to pass on to our members.

 

Whilst from a local perspective branch passed a motion recommending a no vote, we are disappointed if members who voted yes feel they have been misled.

 

Please be assured that I will be updating you as soon as possible, but please note I do two jobs in the Trust and that I am also on leave two days every week through the summer holidays, so there may be some delay in my communication. We are also working with HR and Payroll to the clearest information out to members who have found it difficult to calculate their pay rise, post ballot.
